MilSpouse (first) Friday Fill-In #68

Loving is not just looking at each other, it’s looking in the same direction.

I love learning more about my fellow MilSpouse bloggers. So I created a weekly meme, which has now morphed into a monthly meme. This will happen on the first Friday of every month. To do this, I’ll post a list of questions the day before (on Thursday so you can have your blog ready on Friday). Come back here on Friday (like today!) and enter your blog post into Mr. Linky below so others know who else participated and we can all visit other blogs. Please leave a comment too! And please feel free to use the button above!

1. What is your favorite winter memory?
My favorite winter memory is driving our three-wheeler around with my brother riding on the saucer behind it (attached with a rope, of course). He’d try to stay on and I’d whip around the yard and try to fling him off. Yes, I was driving it when I was seven.

2. What is your current favorite TV show?
Big Bang Theory! I just recently discovered this awesome show and now am trying to catch up on it!

3. What was your favorite thing that happened in January?
My favorite thing was finally getting a breakthrough in my physical therapy literally overnight. I can now move my shoulder INCHES more!

4. What is the best sound in the world to you?
My favorite sound is the purring of kittens as they sleep on me!

5. What is the biggest lesson you have learned as a MilSpouse (or significant other)?
The biggest thing I’ve learned–and am still learning–is to go with the flow more. It still bugs me when things we plan change or re-change or re-re-change last minute… but it doesn’t drive me up the wall anymore!

Okay, so my blog didn’t post the MFF thing yesterday or today, so it’s running a bit late. Sorry about that. Also… due to the holidays, MFF will not return until the New Year! Enjoy the season!

1. One of my New Year’s resolutions is  to lose weight. Seriously. Like 30 pounds. I hope I can do this now that my shoulder is being fixed and I should start to be able to work out again.

2. One thing I’d like to happen next year is to get pregnant.

3. One thing I’m looking forward to next year is shore duty. By then, it’ll have been a long three years since Huzzy’s last and since that was recruiting… that doesn’t count.

4. One change I’d like to see next year is I’d like government to get their heads out of their rears and actually get things done on time.

5. My plans for NYE include I’m not sure… it will depend on if Huzzy has duty or not. If he has duty, I’ll ring it in alone. If he doesn’t, we are thinking of going to a comedy club.

1. The best part of October was finally having shoulder surgery… well, it was the best part as long as works!

2. The worst part of October was  starting back-to-back deployments. Ick.

3. For Halloween, I’ll be probably still at my orthopedic surgeons… I have an appointment at 4:20 and it usually takes an hour or more after the appointment to even get in.

4. I hope that in November does not include a snowstorm and 30-degree temperatures INSIDE the house thanks to a nasty snow/windstorm like last year!

5. Wifey has posted MilSpouse Secret Santa. I  will be the one coordinating everyone  be participating.

Hold on, man.  We don’t go anywhere with “scary,” “spooky,” “haunted,” or “forbidden” in the title.
