MilSpouse Friday Fill-in #22: Questions for Tomorrow

When it is dark enough, you can see the stars.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson

I love learning more about my fellow MilSpouse bloggers! MilSpouse Friday Fill-in is taking off even better than I could have ever hoped. I learned so much about my fellow bloggers and can’t wait to learn more… and hopefully even MORE will join in as we go.

Here’s the skinny for newcomers about MilSpouse Friday Fill-ins (and when I say MilSpouse, I mean significant others, too!):

Each week, I’ll post a list of questions on Thursday (so you can have your blog ready on Friday). Come back here on Friday and enter your blog post into Mr. Linky so others know who else participated and we can all visit other blogs.  And please feel free to use the button above!

  1. If you had to be shipwrecked on a deserted island, but all your human needs – such as food and water – were taken care of, what two items would you want to have with you?
  2. If you were a salad, what kind of dressing would you have?
  3. If you had to live on a ranch, what kind of animals would you raise/own?
  4. If your life was was portrayed as a movie, who would you choose to play you and your significant other?
  5. What was the last thing you put a stamp on (envelope, duh, but what was in the envelope)?

Can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with tomorrow!

I love learning more about my fellow MilSpouse bloggers. So I created a weekly meme. Each week, I’ll post a list of questions on Thursday (so you can have your blog ready on Friday). Come back here on Friday (like today!) and enter your blog post into Mr. Linky below so others know who else participated and we can all visit other blogs. Please leave a comment too! This week’s questions are:

1. Were you named after anyone?
Kinda. My middle name is the first three letters of my mother’s first name. But my first name… well, that is a question of who I WASN’T named after. My dad refused to name me a name that anyone he ever dated had. Including those he “dated” in middle school. My dad was a bit of a… um, well, he got around. So it wasn’t that easy for them to agree on a name left in the pool after removing ALL of those.

2. What color, if any, are your toenails usually painted?
Generally some shade of pink. It’s been a dark pink but right now, it’s more of a 50s bubblegum pink. I like it.

3. How do you flush a public toilet? Hands? Feet? Something else?
My foot. I refuse to touch the handle. I also try my best to not touch the door with bare hands as I walk out… you never know who touched it and DIDN’T wash their hands.

4. When you were a little kid, which TV character did you have a crush on?
Uncle Jesse (John Stamos) from Full House. Seriously. His hair. His semi-bad boy image. I still think he’s hot.

5.Let’s say you had to lose one of your five senses (sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell).  Which one would you choose? Why?
I would say… smell. I like food too much (maybe I should say taste so I’d easily lose weight) to really lose that. Sight is SO important to me and so is hearing. Touch, well… let’s leave that one alone. So smell. I could do baby diapers and doggie diarrhea with no problem!

Please don’t forget to add your blog link to Mr. Linky below by clicking on it. But also if you are not participating in MilSpouse Friday Fill-In this week, please do not put your link on there… I will remove it. It is unfair to others who do participate.

As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.

I was going to feature one question suggested by MFF participants each week, but since you all came up with such great questions last week, I’m going to have to do more than one a week! This week’s questions are:

  1. If you could be a fugitive from the law for whatever reason, what would your crime be? (from It’s a Hooah Life)
  2. How long do you think you will be a military family? (from Julie the Army Wife)
  3. What’s your favorite recipe? (from Keep Calm and Soldier On)
  4. What would you want your last five words to be when you leave this life? (from My Goal is Simple)
  5. Where do you hope to retire? (from Pennies from Heaven)

I can’t wait to see what you all come up with tomorrow!
