Staccato

I know God will not give me anything I can’t handle.  I just wish that He didn’t trust me so much.
~Mother Teresa

Huzzy went to sea.

It’s a b!tch trying to do everything by myself one-handed.

Holiday season is upon us.

Holidays without Huzzy suck.

This is our third in a row away.

Never spent one with him as husband and wife.

Next year we should be together for sure.

Dog is sick.

He always gets sick right after Huzzy leaves.

Stress, I think.

Trying to clean up liquid poop off the carpet one-handed sucks donkey balls.

Big ones.

A good friend’s autistic daughter’s service dog had emergency surgery today and had 2 1/2 feet of intestine removed due to a blockage and death of the intestine.

They need prayers because infection is a huge possibility.

I was laid off today.

They said they decided they need an HR person… and I’m a PR person.

I think they mixed up their alphabet.

Maybe someone missed their Sesame Street time.

I was laid off 15 weeks after I started.

You have to work for 17 weeks in Washington to get unemployment.

Asshats.

Today sucks all around.

That is all.

P.S.
PR person for hire. Friendly, whip-smart, house broken and doesn’t bite (usually). Slightly broken but will be fixed, hopefully to 100%. Inquire within.

  1. I totally understand missing your hubs during holidays. 😦 I’ve spent many holidays without mine, and you’re right, it does suck.

For the dog poop, three words: Bissell Little Green. It’s saved my carpet many times and only takes one hand. Plus, it works great on kid messes, too.

And, it sounds like they totally screwed you over on purpose. Don’t they need to give you two week’s notice? That would bring you to 17 weeks!

I really hope your day gets a better!

  2. Oh no! What a poopy poopy day. Hope everything will turn around for you soon. Wish I lived closer so I could help. At least with the runny poop pick up. I have an experience with that!

  3. I’m so sorry this is how your day went down. Any day like that could put someone in the slumps. I know exactly how you feel about being laid off – when I was laid off a few years ago, I literally cried! It was horrible, I felt like my whole world was crashing down. Once you are all healed up, I’d recommend getting back out there in the job market. Granted, the jobs are much harder to find than they were back when I was laid off, but everything ended up working out. Holidays are definitely not easy with the husband being gone – heck its never easy holidays or not. Just much worse when the holidays come around. Hopefully you will be able to have some sort of contact with him while he is gone. Hope your days get better. Good luck once you get back to the job search.

  4. Ugh! What asshats indeed! 😦 I feel you with the poor sick animals…I’ve spent the past week dealing with a flea infestation brought on by the lack of weatherstripping on the patio door in my apartment…jerks and their cheap-ass doors!

Things will get better! Chin up!

  5. That’s a suckfest extraordinaire. I hope you pour a one-handed cocktail. Aren’t people not supposed to kick when they’re down??? Douchebags…

  6. Sorry, all this is happening and I’m praying for all things listed to work out. It may be one of those “debbie downer” days, but you’ll bounce back 😉

  7. What a sh!tty day. Sucks to be you.
Sorry, that’s not very helpful, is it? It’s good to see you are keeping your sense of humor in it. But it’s either laugh or cry, right? The good news is that this, too, shall pass.
I know, still not very helpful.
Lay on the floor and cuddle with the dogs and play with the kittens. That should help.

Stop by and say hi at my new blog.

  8. Holy moly that’s a shitty day. Maybe a good time for an ADSW? The budgets are kind of screwy right now, but I see a lot of stuff coming out of the RESFOR autospam mailbot. Then again, it is the holidays. Maybe it’s just life’s way of forcing you to slow down?

  9. Hi,
I hope things are a lot better for you this week.
I also want to apologize for my last comment if it offended you. I was trying to be funny and make you smile, but looking back now, I see that it may have come across as insensitive.

    Hugs,
    Jenny
