I’m not doing bumpdates every week until things get closer and start changing from week to week. Right now, there’s not a whole lot of change, so I don’t see the point in doing these weekly. And while I realize many of my readers really don’t care about “bumpdates,” I want to log these for personal reasons for the future and for Skipper if he/she wants to look back.
How Far Along? 16 weeks today, though the picture was taken at nearly 15 weeks
Size of Baby? 4 1/2 – 5 inches, or the size of an avocado
Maternity Clothes? Pants, yes. Tops, some, though I have many regular tops that will work as well, but they are starting to ride up when I’m active. Of course, there’s the giganti-blouse maternity uniform I have to wear. LOL
Weight Gain? I actually lost a bit while I was on my trip, so I’ve currently gained about 3 3/4 of a pound. OB is pleased with my weight gain.
Stretch Marks/belly button? Not yet!
Baby’s Sex? Won’t know until October. I was feeling boy at the last bumpdate but now I’m back to not feeling either way, though I did have a dream of a boy last night.
Sleep? Getting up once or twice a night to use the bathroom and it’s getting harder to sleep on just my shoulders (due to previous surgery, I can only sleep on my left shoulder for a small amount of time, so my right shoulder gets awfully tired of being slept on).
Food Cravings? No, though I did want a homemade Egg McMuffin every day last week, but now that I’m home, I’m not really feeling it.
Best Moment This Week? Listening to the heartbeat at yesterday’s 16w appointment. I could listen to that for hours.
What I am loving? Still just loving having this opportunity to be pregnant.
Movement? No, but I’m excited to… hopefully within the next few weeks!
What I’m looking forward to: My MFM appointment with limited ultrasound next Wednesday to make sure Skipper is ok and to make sure my rash isn’t affecting him/her. It’ll be nice to see baby again as well. I’m also going to a prenatal yoga class tomorrow, so I’m excited to try that, even though I’ve never tried yoga before!
Other Updates… I finally started having heartburn this week. I’m not complaining a bit as other than being much larger in the belly, my pregnancy symptoms pretty much went away so it’s nice to have one to comfort me (yeah, I know, weird to WANT pregnancy symptoms but it’ll be this way until I can be reassured by regular movement and kicks).
